Who We Are
Advocates for Moral Values & Civic Duties Initiative (AMVCDI), also known as Value System Initiative (VSI), is a passionate NGO dedicated to restoring moral values and promoting civic responsibility in our society. Since 2022, we’ve been working tirelessly to enlighten youth, support vulnerable groups, and create a culture of integrity, patriotism, and peaceful coexistence.
Through partnerships with government institutions, international organizations, and academic institutions, we’re making the world a better place—one community at a time.
About Us
How We Began
Advocates for Moral Values & Civic Duties Initiative (AMVCDI) was born from a burning desire to see a better society where values and morals are deeply inculcated in every citizen. What started as Value System Initiative (VSI) in 2022 has grown into a fully registered organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission, dedicated to transforming lives and rebuilding the moral fabric of our nation.
We recognized that moral values have been significantly eroded in our society, particularly among younger generations. This concern drove us to take action—to serve as a reliable bridge of hope for teens, youth, and vulnerable groups. Through our Value System Orientation (VSO) programs, we support the efforts of governments and academic institutions in raising a generation that values integrity, justice, and civic responsibility.
Today, AMVCDI stands as a beacon of hope, partnering with philanthropists, government institutions, international organizations, civil societies, and academic institutions to empower internally displaced persons (IDPs), widows, youth, and other vulnerable groups across Nigeria.
Our Focus Area
Promote Moral Values
We are committed to restoring and strengthening the moral foundation of our society by teaching and modeling core values such as integrity, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Through workshops, seminars, and community engagement programs, we help individuals—especially young people—understand the importance of ethical conduct and how it shapes personal success and national development. Our Value System Orientation (VSO) programs reach schools, communities, and organizations, creating a ripple effect of positive behavioral change across Nigeria.
Civic Engagement
Active citizenship is the cornerstone of a thriving democracy. We empower individuals to understand their civic rights and responsibilities, encouraging them to participate actively in community development, governance, and nation-building. Through civic education programs, voter awareness campaigns, and community mobilization initiatives, we inspire Nigerians to take ownership of their communities, hold leaders accountable, and contribute meaningfully to creating the society they envision. We believe that an engaged citizenry is key to sustainable development and social progress.
Schools' Outreach
Catching them young is our strategy for lasting change. Our schools' outreach programs bring Value System Orientation directly to primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across Nigeria. We conduct interactive sessions, mentorship programs, and character development workshops that complement academic learning with moral education. By partnering with educational institutions, we help shape the next generation of leaders—young people who are not only academically excellent but also morally upright, patriotic, and socially responsible. Our goal is to ensure that every student we reach becomes an ambassador of positive values in their communities.
Humanitarian Intervention
Compassion drives us to action. We provide critical support to vulnerable populations including internally displaced persons (IDPs), widows, orphans, and communities affected by conflict, poverty, or natural disasters. Our humanitarian interventions include food distribution, medical outreach, shelter assistance, skills acquisition training, and psychosocial support. We work in collaboration with government agencies, international organizations, and local partners to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most. Beyond immediate relief, we focus on sustainable empowerment that helps vulnerable groups rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Partnership
We recognize that lasting impact requires collective effort. AMVCDI actively seeks and nurtures strategic partnerships with philanthropists, government institutions, international organizations, civil society groups, corporate bodies, and academic institutions. Through these collaborations, we multiply our reach, pool resources, share expertise, and create synergies that amplify our impact. Whether through funding, technical support, or joint program implementation, our partnerships are built on shared values, mutual respect, and a common commitment to building a better Nigeria. Together, we achieve more than we ever could alone.

Quality Education
We enhance quality education by integrating moral values and civic education into academic learning. Through our Value System Orientation program in schools and educational support for vulnerable children, we ensure that education produces not just knowledgeable graduates, but morally upright and socially responsible citizens.
Gender Equality
We promote gender equality through targeted programs that empower women economically, support girl-child education, and combat gender-based violence. Our women’s empowerment initiatives and advocacy efforts ensure that women and girls have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to national development.
Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
We strengthen democratic institutions and promote peaceful coexistence through civic engagement programs, peace-building initiatives, and advocacy for good governance. By educating citizens on their rights and responsibilities and facilitating dialogue between communities and authorities, we contribute to building just, peaceful, and inclusive societies.
